Charity, the desire to “do good” for the benefit of others, is firmly rooted in the fabric of human consciousness.
But unless you are a Rockefeller, Carnegie, Ford or Gates, having the means to do as much as one might desire to do
could be another matter entirely. There are literally hundreds of thousands of registered charities in the United
States. Very few of these worthy organizations started by saying, “Let’s raise some money then find a cause,” rather,
as is usually the case, someone found a need then tried to fill it.
Unfortunately, there is no lack of a good cause these days. Fortunately, there are millions of good souls who are
willing to help. Good Conscience, Inc. is all about connecting those who are willing to contribute the resources
with those who are willing to do the work of helping others.
We are a for-profit corporation founded by a group of seasoned business professionals with significant Internet
experience. Our goal is to take what we have learned in our for-profit world and create tools and strategies that
will help our charity partners raise money smarter, faster and more efficiently. Our inaugural not-for-profit partner
in this enterprise is Big Brothers Big Sisters, Long Island
The CEO of BBBS-LI, Mr. Bill Tymann, has probably summed it up best: “I’m all about helping kids. I’ve been doing
it for a long time. I know how necessary it is to beat the bushes for donations, but if I could go to one less benefit
dinner, or one less fund raising event and devote that time and energy to helping even one more kid, I’d be happier.”
And that’s where Good Conscience comes in.
Good Conscience is developing a set of powerful Internet based programs to help charities and qualified not-for-profits
raise money for their worthy causes better, faster, smarter. The first of those tools have been deployed with more to
come. We can:

• turn travel commissions into charitable donations via the Internet and our travel partner, Travelocity
